Community Meeting on Crime Watch Programs TONIGHT
The goal of the meeting is to learn more about how crime watch programs can work.
Wednesday, May 21
6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Nathan Bishop Middle School.
There will have a panel discussion with Lieutenant Ryan and Captain Stamatakos of the Providence Police Department, as well as Monica Anderson (Community Liaison at Miriam Hospital) and Jay Tavares (West Broadway Neighborhood Association Board Member and Chair of the Neighborhood Action Crime Watch). Monica and Jay will be speaking on the establishment of crime watches programs and how they are maintained.
Once the presenters have introduced the program to the community, those in attendants will have an opportunity to ask questions of the panel about neighborhood crime watches and the more general issue about how residents and the police can work together to reduce crime.
